The Russian pilot Roman Rusinov will take the start of the legendary Marathon “24 hours of Le Mans” for the third time in his career.
Rusinov concluded a contract with the “G – Drive Racing by Signatech Nissan” team and this year all the remaining stages of the World Endurance Championship for endurance. He will play behind the wheel of a prototype of the LMP2 category, the second most important in the series. The Frenchmen Nelson Panchyatichi and Pierre Par will become the partners of the novel.
The trio has already started in one stage of the championship – Marathon “6 hours of spa”. Due to technical problems, it was not possible to show a high result, but the crew reached the finish line. According to Rusinov, the race in Belgium was a kind of first serious test session in front of a marathon in Le-Man.
The daily race in France is scheduled for June 16-17. This will be the third stage of WEC. Rusinov will first go to the start of “24 hours of Le Man” driving a sport prototype.
