Brabus SV12 R: distinguishing features of the updated version

  • September 11, 2017

Brabus SV12 R, as stated in the previous article, develops a power of 800 liters. With. and torque in 1420 nm. The maximum power is achieved at 5500 rpm, the maximum torque is available from 2,100 rpm. For technical reasons, most likely because of the non -ability of the semi -shafts to transmit such a torque, it is reduced to 1100 nm.

This extraordinary power is transmitted to wheels through enhanced automatic transmission with five speeds. From the gearbox directly to the wheels, the power is transmitted through the differential of increased friction.

As already mentioned, the characteristics of the Brabus SV12 R make this car one of the most powerful and fast in the world, as well as the most powerful car of the upper class. Up to 100 km/h, this large, chic sedan accelerates in just 3.9 seconds. After 10.3 seconds, the speed is already 200 km/h and acceleration lasts up to 350 km/h, marks, after which acceleration is theoretically possible, but it is stopped by electronics.

To ensure really high working characteristics, it is not enough to provide the car only with a powerful engine. In the Brabus studio, they carried out serious work on the suspension, brake system and aerodynamics of the car. The modernization also included special tires.

Brabus SV12 R can be shod at 19 or 21-inch Brabus Monoblock discs. Wheel disks are available in four different performance: glossy, six -spicium Brabus monoblock VI, multi -spicium Brabus monoblock E, Brabus monoblock S and special performance of Brabus monoblock Platinum. All discs are literally “tightened” with rubber Yokohama and Pirelli.

To improve the excellent dynamics of the Brabus SV12 R, a special electronic suspension stabilization unit was developed in the atelier, which can increase the rigidity of the suspension, while reducing the clearance by 15 mm.

Fast slowdown is much more important than acceleration. Brabus SV12 R received the original brabus brake system. An aluminum caliper with 12 cylinders is installed on each wheel, which wrapps up a disc 380 mm in front and 355 mm in the back.

To optimize the lateral aerodynamics of the car, the original Brabus skirts were made, in which the luminous emblems of Brabus were built. As soon as the owner touches the handle or comes up with the key to the car, the emblems begin to glow blue light.
