The designers of the Volga plant, among which are many foreigners, this time made all possible efforts to improve the car. Lada Priora received a new engine with a capacity of 98 (actually 110) horsepower. The suspension was also significantly improved – now it has new springs and shock absorbers. The car body is significantly improved, it has become much tougher, although, of course, far far from foreign cars – the gaps between body details are too great. The designers managed to change the appearance of the priors radically – now the design of the car is not inferior to the design of inexpensive foreign cars. The steering was updated, all electrical equipment was replaced by a more perfect.
The car has become less noisy, although the rumble of the motor still penetrates the salon, especially at high speed. This was facilitated by a complete update of the design of the salon. The salon looks good, quite high -quality materials are applied, no worse than in budget foreign cars. The panel is especially pleased, the details of which are fitted more carefully – there are almost no “crickets” now. In appearance and to the touch, the dashboard is good, the design also pleases. Unfortunately, it was not possible to eliminate all the shortcomings-for some reason, the glove compartment closes poorly, the button for lifting the glasses is tight, etc. D. I am pleased that now the steering electric power power steering is installed on the car, the handling has improved, especially on the turns. Unfortunately, the design of the steering column leaves much to be desired.
The manufacturer has slightly improved safety – the updated Lada Priora is now equipped with airbags even in the basic version. As for the top versions, here the equipment is so rich that it significantly exceeds the set of foreign cars in a similar price range.
