Motorsport is increasingly taking places in the hearts of people. Many began to recognize this sport, despite the unconditional danger. People just learned to share the concepts of madness and courage.
There are many types of races on cars. Let’s talk about one of the most loved, especially to us Russians, form, about rally on trucks.
Of course, the main associations with trucks are associated with the Paris-Dakar rally. Here we have repeatedly become champions, and several times in a row. It is difficult for offhand to recall some kind of sport in which, over the past ten years, we would have sought such successes.
At Dakar, trucks are represented only with the “weight category” more than 3500 kg. The following models are already inveterate fighters in this competition: DAF, GINAF, HINO, Iveko, KamAZ, Liaz, Man, MAZ, Mercedes-Benz, Renault Korax, Scania, Tatrai Unimog. It is pleasant to state that since 2000, our KAMAZ has always been one of the recognized leaders in the test of trucks, as if not the most recognized.
As in all sports, in rally on trucks there are obligatory rules, the non -execution of which threatens not only with penalty glasses, but with a complete removal from the entire track.
One of the main rules is a four -wheel drive. Only full-drive cars and no more.
Understanding the conditions in which they will have to fight, all participants try to modernize and improve their “faithful assistant” to the maximum. Otherwise, there is a high risk of trite not to get to the finish. On ordinary serial trucks they compete only on amateur races. There is no need for total reincarnation of their unit, although some try to add a little “zest”.
If Dakar, in relation to trucks, warms our souls, then things are much worse in the ring races. In this form, we are yet inferior to competitors, and grow, we still have where.
But, nevertheless, summing up, I would like to note that in the rally on trucks we are one of the best, either champions or a promising team. And no one even has doubts that in this sport our country is respected.
