The trade conflict of Russia and the European Union has risen due to the utilization fee, which was included in the cost of cars in the car market of Russia. At first, the Western countries were indignant at the fact that, having covered only foreign cars with this utilization fee, the Russian government gave “warm conditions” to domestic automakers. Recently, the State Duma decided to “eliminate” this inequality and in the first reading adopted a corresponding bill, according to which all cars should be taxed without exception with a recycling fee. But the position of Western manufacturers remained the same – the disposal rate rate is too high, so the retail prices for cars are very high, and this undermines European export to Russia. This issue is already being resolved in the court of the World Trade Organization. According to experts of 10 billion euros of vehicles from Europe to Russia 1.3 billion euros – a recycling fee established by the Government of the Russian Federation. Of course, Russian consumers also suffer from this (over the past year, cars have risen significantly). Representatives of the European Union also indicate the contradictions in Russian legislation by the fact that interest rates on used and new cars should not differ much, since the recycling value of both of them is approximately identical. Of course, these are attempts from Russia to remove powerful competitors from the low in quality of VAZ products. In turn, Maxim Medvedkov (Director of the Department of Torg. Negotiations of the Ministry of Economics) said that this recycling collection is supposedly, compensation for the harm caused by the ecology on machines, so the dependence of the collection on the age and engine of the car is fair. This dispute can result in the exchange of mutual claims. If the European Union turns out to prove its position, this will lead to a decrease in prices for cars in the Russian market. But our government is “fighting” for the quality of life of its citizens, therefore it can challenge duties on products supplied to Europe (fertilizers and metal). Of course, the Russian government in this case is in no way worried about the needs of the citizens of its country, their main goal is to remove competition from the VAZ and impose poor -quality products to Russians, which is cracking with all the seams at the sight of powerful competition of the European and the entire West automobile giants and the entire West.
