Microsoft has released a new Windows 11 insider build numbered 22635.4950. It features a changed Start menu interface and a full-fledged file sharing panel, which was previously hidden and required activation via a third-party tool.
In Start, you can now switch between two options for organizing applications. The first is alphabetical sorting, which simplifies the search for programs. The second is automatic grouping by category, which works on the principle of the application catalog in iOS. In the latter case, you cannot create your own folders: the system itself distributes software into sections. Notifications, messages, and a list of running applications from an Android smartphone have also been added to the sidebar if it is connected via Link to Windows.
The updated file sharing panel first appeared in January build 22635.4805, but then Microsoft did not advertise its appearance, and to activate it, you had to use the ViVeTool utility. Now the function is enabled by default. To send a file, you need to hold it with the cursor, drag it to the top of the screen and select where to send it in the window that appears. It is not yet known when these changes will be available to all Windows 11 users. Microsoft only specified that the update is expected to be released before the end of the year.
