All car manufacturers are constantly studying the market and wishes of motorists. The most successful solutions are modified endlessly-it is this transformation that awaits the popular Audi S3 hatchback, which once appeared from the sedan of the same name.
Now the car is produced not with a hard roof, but a soft top, which is made of fabric and is equipped with a folding system. This design of the updated Audi S3 Cabrio can be called a convertible.
Such a body transformation has a positive effect on the image and appearance of the car, but the functionality had to be sacrificed. The newcomer of the lineup is produced with a reduced luggage compartment-this is easily explained, since the folded roof needs to be hidden somewhere.
In the initial hatchback, the luggage department was 340 liters. The owners of newcomers of the market, even with a raised top, have to be content with 285 liters, and in a folded position this volume is reduced to 254 liters.
So that future buyers are not too upset, it was decided to leave a car with the previous powerful engine. Thus, the Audi S3 Cabrio convertible is available with a two -liter turbocharged engine that is able to develop a power of 300 horsepower.
German engineers decided to equip their novelty as a real SUV-the car will be produced with the QUATTRO all-wheel drive system and a complete set, which provides for the installation of a 6-speed program (type S Tronic).
Thanks to this equipment, the owners of convertibles can be driven at their own pleasure on the tracks outside the city. Audi S3 Cabrio accelerates to 100 km/h in only 5.4 seconds, at the same time, the hatchback found the founder developed the same speed in 5 seconds. Some disadvantages are also inherent in the convertible: for every 100 km 7.1 liters of fuel are consumed, while the hatchback required 6.9 liters.
